Core'dinations meets Jillibean Soup

How perfect, right? My two favourite companies joined up at CHA to bring us this:

This is just one of five collections of pre-embossed Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock that were released at winter CHA last week. I will be working like a busy bee over the next few days to come up with a project for each of the collections.

Today's project is only a small sneak peek at the actual layout will be appearing in the spring 2010 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today. I will let you know when it's available at your local scrapbooking store OR free to download on the S&CT website.

Supplies: Visit Custom Crops for a complete supply list and step-by-step instructions.
I am currently cookin' up a layout using the new pre-embossed cardstock by Core'dinations. There are 5, count 'em, 5 new collections that they have added as of this CHA. I will try and have a project using a paper from each of the collections by the end of the weekend. Stay tuned!

CHA Jillibean Soup reveal!

I can finally post this image from CHA. Although I didn't get to go this time round (but I am totally planning on attending the summer CHA in Chicago, IL) I did get to make the projects below for Jillibean Soup. The layout and three cards feature the new line called Chicken Noodle Soup. If you want to see more great images of the Jillibean Soup projects from CHA that feature the new lines, click here.
I will be back tomorrow with some images of the new Core'dinations that was released at CHA. Enjoy!
P.S. The featured cat lives with my mother in law and father in law and Casper-is-his-name-o'!

A Core'dinations card and Ema's crafting debute!

With the new craft room up and running I am finding it not only really easy to whip up projects quickly and put things away as well. I love this new state of organization.

Supplies: Core'dinations cardstock (Honey yellow, Weather Vane Whitewash and Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions Black Magic), Jillibean Soup kraft paper, Fancy Pants die cut bee, Quickutz die cut letters (Diesel Grand), Cricut/Sure Cuts a Lot cloud diecut (Efon dingbat), Fiskars texture plate, We R' Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, 3L layering tape, Making Memories sanding block, other: sewing machine and white thread.

Ema (5 1/2) is making some pretty awesome stuff as well. Here is a picture that she made using Fancy Pants die cut owls for tracers and Crayola markers. It reads: "Cat of(f) my nose. Luv Ema. For Mom?" I'm pretty sure it's for me.

Our new craft room

Well, as many of you know, we moved into our new house at the end of October 2009. Since then we have been busy trying to add "our touch" to our new home. We still have a ways to go but I thought I would share some photos of our new craft room. The previous family had used this room as a video game room and a storage place for toys. Along one wall are sliding storage cupboards which are perfect for hiding gross amounts of paper, embellishments and tools. Some day, down the road, we are hoping to install dormer windows along one side of the room to allow for a bit more head room. Under each photo I have added "Supplies" to the best of my knowledge. Cheers!
