CHA projects

Now that CHA is over I can share some of the projects that I created for the Jillibean Soup booth and the Core'dinations booth.
I was asked to create a mini-album using the *NEW* Jillibean Soup number sprouts. They come in four colours. I also added in some of the *NEW* stamp collection, the *NEW* Cool Beans buttons and the *NEW* Alphabet Soup collection. Tie that all together with a serving of Jillibean Soup kraft paper and you have a mini-album you can make in an evening.

*This project has been removed for publication. *

Supplies: Jillibean Soup patterned paper, kraft paper, number sprouts, stamps, twine, printed twill, button and felt leaves, 7 Gypsies brads, Tsukineko ink, Fiskars paper crimper, other: sewing machine, thread, foam layering tape.

Now, this project was featured on the Jillibean Soup blog the same day that we left for Orlando, FL. I want to share it here too as my brother in law, sister in law and their little one, Reed, haven't seen it yet.

Supplies: Jillibean Soup patterned paper, letter stickers, twine and journaling sprout, Core'dinations cardstock (French Roast), Bazzill jumbo brad, Quickutz letter dies, Heidi Swapp edge distresser, Hampton Arts letter stamps, Tsukineko ink, other: foam layering tape, sewing machine and thread.

The next project is a card that I made using Vintage and Essentials cardstock by Core'dinations. If you haven't checked out the Core'dinations website lately be sure to drop by. It's new and improved and loaded with lots of great techniques and ideas thanks to the amazing new design team.Supplies: Core'dinations cardstock (Vintage, Essentials), Jillibean Soup twine, Quickutz dies (bird, bird house, branch), ProvoCraft embossing folder (branch with leaves), Heidi Swapp edge distresser, Making Memories sanding block, Font: Chicken HawkLT, Smooch red, other: foam layering tape, sewing machine and thread.
Stay tuned! There will be more projects posted in the next few days.
On a sad note, I am off to the camera store to take in my camera. While in Orlando, my Canon Rebel XTi has taken ill. She permanently has my fixed 50mm lens attached to her. It does not look good.

The best time EVER!

We are back!
The Bahamas.
New friends.
CHA.
Old friends.
It was the best time ever!

Here are a few shots from our trip to Nassau, Bahamas. While on our cruise we hung out with a fun couple from Florida. They have two kids. We have two kids. They got us.
Danielle, if you are reading this, I will email you some shots this weekend.

This little cutie pie was out running her momma to catch the bus.

Craig and Jim chatting up the locals.

I will be back tomorrow with some images of projects that I can now share from CHA.

New and improved

I am about to head off to CHA in Orlando, FL, and thought I would tweak my craftin' business card to include Jillibean Soup kraft paper and Core'dinations ColorCore cardstock.

Supplies: Core'dinations cardstock (Poinsettia), Jillibean Soup kraft paper, Sizzix textured impression, Stampin' Up binder punch, Fiskars circle punch, Spellbinders/Wizard embossing machine and Font: Advantage.

On a completely different note, I have discovered my children react in two separate ways when a camera is pointed at them.

First we have Ema. She knows how to work with a lens. She smiles, poses, and holds still so I can catch the perfect angelic shot. See below:

Then we have Matt. Yeah.

There is fit...

...and then there is my friend Kristen. Yesterday I took some photos of Kristen for a contest that she is entering. She would like to become one of the poster folks for Les Mills. She teaches a variety of their fitness classes and I think she would be great!

Piping hot Jillibean Soup

Well, CHA is just around the corner and Jill of Jillibean Soup has cooked up some delicious stuff for the summer show. Here's just a small sneak peek of what's being served up. Trust me...there's way more on its way! For more sneak peeks, be sure to visit the Jillibean Soup blog on a daily basis between now and CHA (July 28-30).

Also, Jill has created some beautiful acrylic stamps which will premiere at CHA as well. They are of a great quality and take ink very well. Here are two cards that I made using the new stamps. The first one is designed for teachers. It's a collection of "Thank You" cards which they can keep in their desk. These are perfect for giving to students on the day before Christmas holidays when they bring in little gifts. The second set of cards are "We're Moving" which I will likely mass produce in October when we move into our new home.
Supplies: Jillibean Soup printed kraft, kraft, printed paper (Chopped Tomatoes), twine, and stamps (Flower, Thank You), Tsukineko ink, We R' Memory Keepers eyelets, McGill punch, other: foam layering tape.
Supplies: Jillibean Soup kraft, patterned paper (Chopped Tomatoes), felt flowers and leaves, stamp (house) and twine, Scenic Route worn grid, Making Memories brads, Stampendous embossing powder, other: sewing machine, thread.

At the cottage

This past January my parents became the proud owners of a cottage in Lion's Head, ON. It's a cute little town along the Bruce Peninsula that has its own grocery store, library, hardware store, quilt store and a liquor store. What else does a small little town need?
Here's a layout that I made last night with some photos of our last trip. The Core'dinations popsicle was designed and created by my friend Kimberly Colliss and myself for the LSS that we work at. It was a make and take project for an Ice Cream Crop that was held last Friday night.

Supplies: Core'dinations cardstock (Chocolate Box, Essentials), Doodlebug patterned paper, Scenic Route worn grid, American Crafts letter stickers, May Arts ribbon, Heidi Swapp edge distresser, Sizzix silicone rubber mat (for embossing),Tsukineko Ink, Imaginisce rubon stick, Font: Another Typewriter, other: sewing machine, thread.
